Walking As Angels Among Men
by admin ~ November 18th, 2009
This week, during our readings in the gospel of Matthew, we hit upon many different aspects of the meaning of our Lord’s sublime Sermon on the Mount.
While there is much to learn, in the end, one of the greatest lessons is this: how the Lord integrates the power of the believers life amongst fellow Christians, with the power of these same believers as they build together Christendom in the world–as that light of the world, building that city set high upon a hill.
Oh, how we should be in fast pursuit of these truths, just as God Himself commanded; making no account of the things of men, but showing forth perfect self restraint in all things, and directing our own lives after the commandments of God. For so, even now, from this very time, if we should do these things, we shall enjoy the good things of the heavens, and of the crowns that are there, walking as angels among men, going about in the earth like the angelic powers, and abiding apart from all lust, and from all turmoil.
Well, enough for now. . . If you are already walking daily with us through the New Testament–we trust God is blessing your time in His Word. If you are not already enrolled, but you would like to be, you can join us by enrolling here: Daily Scripture Reading Teaching Service. You can also signup for a complimentary 30 day trial period right on this page in the heading area above. Either way, remember in the meantime to keep yourself in the Word!
And remember to speak God’s love into someone’s life today!
