Christmas Means That All Things Are In Subjection to the Christ

by admin ~ December 17th, 2009

Picture 005“Thou hast put all things in subjection under His feet!”

This is the meaning of Christmas.

This is the meaning of the Kingdom Come.

Yes, through the coming of the baby Jesus, who’s body then grew into manhood allowing our Lord to complete His passing through the flesh, everything was reconciled.

And the earth became subject to Christ, as it was always intended.

Now some will argue that all men are not yet under subjection to Christ. They will speak of sin, of physical death, of the devil… claiming that evil in this physical world means the world cannot yet be Christ’s.

But what they fail to recognize is that this earth, as the birthing center for the Kingdom of God, will always be the proving ground for mankind; the earth will always provide the location for the crisis of choice facing each human being.

When we keep this in mind, then we can see evil for what it is–an illusion.

Yes, evil is an illusion. The truth is this (a truth made evident when we wipe our eyes clear of the illusion through the lifted veil of the resurrected body of the Christ), that all things, even sin, death and the devil, really already are in subjection to God in Christ!

Here’s what we must come to understand–within each earthly generation of mankind, those still warring against the Lord will “appear” to not be in subjection. But, for us to see these unbelievers in the proper light, all we need do is remember this is but an illusion.

How so? Well, the believer’s comfort comes in this, knowing that those seemingly not in subjection are really just deceiving themselves. Yes, even the unbelievers will bend the knee, and confess the Lord, when they pass from this life to the next. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth as they desperately seek to avoid being cast into utter darkness at their judgment before the throne of the Living God. Their illusion of independence will be shattered as they cross over. It is a truth–every knee shall bow, and every tongue confess, the glory of the Lord!

This Christmas season, celebrate the Lord’s Kingdom Come; celebrate the full work of the Lord Jesus Christ and His completely successful implementation of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Do indeed glory in the baby Jesus, for it is a truth, the Incarnation is the signal event of all human history. But then, let that baby grow up, and see the Christ for what He is, the bringer of the Heavenly Kingdom and the implementer of the Indestructible Way therein.

May the glory of the Incarnation, God-In-Christ, be with you this glorious season.

Well, that’s all for today; may you find and recognize God’s rich blessings during this Holy-Day season. . .
