My wife Carolyn and I felt much the same way when I began a journey many years ago … almost in desperation … to make sure we were on the right path for ourselves and our children.

I've been successful in my professional life but I have also faced many issues through the years that caused me to doubt the 'truth' of the worlds' teaching. I wanted to re-discover the historic truth of the Bible while making it applicable to living in our modern world.

The problem with the church today is in many ways it seems to have lost its way. Why is it that so many reasonable, smart men and women, young and old, married or single, professional or blue collar have left the church and are continuing to leave the modern church in unprecedented numbers each and every day?

 

My research has found that it is because these folks need more than 'mere salvation'. They need and want the full proclamation of the Good News of the Kingdom!  I know it was what I wanted and was missing when I started my journey into the depth and power of our faith and if you’re like me, this is what you’ve been missing also.

 

Think about your situation and your own relationship with the full Gospel of the Kingdom. You see, dwelling in fully developed Truth won't make you "more saved" for you achieve salvation to eternal life by faith and faith alone; but it will make your salvation to eternal life of far greater consequence here on this earth. And that's what you want, isn't it? A faith that is at the core of EVERYTHING you say and do so that your eternal life is evident even now?

 

"What shall a man or woman give for recompense of their own soul?" Jesus posed this question to His disciples, and by extension to you and me as well, when asking His disciples who THEY thought He was. Specifically He asked, after they had told Him what others said of Him, "But whom say you that I am?"

 

And that's the question in your own soul that is rattling around in your brain and causing you to know that something in your answer of that question is not quite right. That something in your answer to that question is lacking. You've got bits and pieces, but not the whole story.

 

Statistics show that the modern church is losing people daily; far more than they're adding because it is not helping resolve the uneasiness in answering this question, "But whom do I say Jesus is?"

 

New Age and eastern mysticism won't answer this question either.

 

Nor will Humanism, Secular Humanism, Libertarianism or Statism.

 

Nor will Darwinism.

 

And certainly 'Modern Science' has no hope of answering the underlying questions of the spirit.

 

Turning to Scripture that has been censored over time won't help either.

 

What will work?  Turning to uncensored Scripture, and the pristine (pure) teachings of the earliest and brightest of the early and most powerfully successful church. This is where I found the answers to the full knowledge of the Good News of the Kingdom that Jesus Himself proclaimed.

 

Let me be clear I am not talking about revisiting all of the pomp and circumstance of their 'ceremony' that was important then but not relevant to our world today.  I am talking about their uncensored Scriptures and the heartfelt teachings of the changed human beings reading that uncensored Scripture who came to know the essence of the goodness of our Lord and God.

 

Imagine the pureness of water untouched by human hands drawn from a natural spring such as the Rocky Mountains as a refreshing alternative to the polluted water that, while seemingly clear, human beings have altered … and so made unfit for consumption. Now imagine the pureness of Scripture untouched by human hands drawn from the mouth of God Himself … and this is where you need to be if you want to live in the full power of Christ's incredible victory won through the Cross.

But the unspiritual man simply cannot accept the matters which the Spirit of God deals with – they just don't make sense to him, for, after all, you must be spiritual to see spiritual things. The spiritual man, on the other hand, has an insight into the meaning of everything, though his insight may baffle the man of the world. This is because the former is sharing in God's wisdom, and 'Who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct him?' Incredible as it as it may sound, we who are spiritual have the very thoughts of Christ!

Neither death nor life, neither messenger of Heaven nor monarch of earth, neither what happens today nor what may happen tomorrow, neither a power from on high nor a power from below, nor anything else in God's whole world will have any power to separate you from the love of God in Jesus Christ our Lord!
