Theme Song For Today’s Fulfilled Theology
by admin ~ November 23rd, 2009
Our theme song for the fulfilled theology of this generation (a theology built upon the glorious fulfilled theology of the early Church) is Joy to the World!
Read through the words of each verse (I know you’ll do it following the well known melody
) and grasp the incredible theology.
You see, the first coming of our Lord is what this song is all about. And it is incredible how the words of this song celebrate the completed work of that first advent. Yes indeed, this song proclaims what the Church knew from the very start, and preached as the basis of its theology for some 1800 years; that the Lord Jesus Christ has already become King of Kings, and Lord of Lords!
Joy to the World!
Verse 1:
Joy to the world! the Lord is come; —- Let earth receive her King;
Let ev’ry heart —- prepare Him room,
And heav’n and nature sing, —- And heav’n and nature sing,
And heav’n, and heav’n and nature sing.
Verse 2:
Joy to the earth! the Savior reigns; —- Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, —- rocks, hills, and plains
Repeat the sounding joy, —- Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
Verse 3:
No more let sins and sorrows grow, —- Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make —- His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found, —- Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as the curse is found.
Verse 4:
He rules the world with truth and grace, —- And makes the nations prove
The glories of —- His righteousness,
And wonders of His love, —- And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders of His love.
Far as the curse is found… our Lord’s blessings flow… This means that for you, there is no more curse. For us all, there is no more curse. We need but believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to no more let sins and sorrows grow, nor thorns infest the ground! (sin no more – John 5:14)
And oh how He rules the world in truth and grace. And even now makes all the nations prove. For every day, whether a nation be following His way or not, it does indeed reap the rewards of the seeds it sows. And this is the proof that He does in fact rule the world in truth.
That each day the nations of this world have yet another chance… well, this is, of course, the proof that in fact He continues to rule them all in His benevolent Grace!
Now imagine if we lived today in the wonders of His love, that same wonder found in the fulfilled theology of the Early Church. . . wouldn’t it be wonderful the Christendom it would bring? Remember, by the faith and works of the early Church, even the Roman Empire itself was converted to Christianity!
The message, then, from our theme song, and from history itself, is clear–it is not too late! All we need do is begin to live in the wonders of His love, and then, far as the curse is found, the blessings of His Grace will be shown to flow more powerful still.
‘Tis the season! Yes, please consider our theme song of fulfilled theology during this Holiday season of 2009–it is not too late to prepare a marvelous future for our children.
