Hello!
Having just finished up the book of Philemon, this week we are beginning our readings in the gospel of Matthew, written between 55 and 63 AD. In the first few days we simplify the genealogy presented by Matthew, making it easy to understand the three sets of fourteen generations, as well as provide an early church understanding of the star of Bethlehem.

• That's the bottom line, isn't it? What's in it for you? What's the big deal? Why should you care anyway?
Well, let me ask you this...
1) Are you tired of being told that this earth is under the curse of sin and death?
2) Are you tired of the big lie? The one where you're told the whole creation is groaning under this supposed heavy burden?
3) Are you tired of hearing that even you yourself are a sinner with a desperately wicked heart?
Early Church Preterism turns this worldview of the modern church, ultimately negative in this life while yet still maintaining a positive thread for the Christian in the next, on its head; and returns your faith back to the original pristine focus of the church — Christ's complete and finished victory!
